The story behind the Callistorea jewellry workshop

In 1970 Jean-François Viale, a French teacher, was asked by a diamond merchant to write his memoires. A deep friendship developed between the two men and Jean François Viale abandonned literature for the world of gemstones. He became a gemstone dealer. Over time, as he became increasingly interested in creating jewellry, he set up the Callistorea workshop.

In 2009, having both worked in large international companies for ten years, the founder's children, Claire and Alexandre Viale, took the business over. The desire to continue the adventure their father had started was what motivated them and today Claire is responsible for designing the jewellry and Alexandre is in charge of the workshop.
